UCD Access and Lifelong Learning
Part-Time Learning at UCD
We have many options to study part-time at UCD, whether it's for interest, professional development, or to move to a full-time undergraduate programme.
Lifelong Learning gives you the chance to study specific areas or subjects, from History to Psychology, in a low-pressure environment, and meet like-minded people. There are classes during the day and in the evening, in Belfield, online, and in venues across Dublin, so there is something for everyone.
Our Open Learning programme offers you the choice of over 400 undergraduate modules to pick from, with options from across the colleges. You can study these in isolation, as part of a selection, or to apply for one of 16 full-time undergraduate degrees. Applications will open in December.
The UCD Access Course is one year of structured study that will prepare you for the academic and social life of being a full-time UCD student. There are two broad streams, giving you the chance to apply for programmes in Arts, Social Science, Engineering, Medicine, and more.
